IP Phones
We can supply and support as range of hardware based IP Phones [hardphones]
We recommend SNOM IP phones, these work very well with Asterisk based softPBX’s. Snom Technology AG are based in Berlin, Germany and have a very open policy with regard to support information. The Snom knowledge base is well structured with detailed information on their complete range of IP phones. They have a good range of phones from the lower spec 300 to the higher spec 320 and 360 models. Also check out the Elmeg 290 which is almost identical to the older model Snom 190. It is reported that this uses the same firmware as the Snom 190.
Support for the Snom Phones is also available on the voip-info.org site.
Snom phones are well built, have good audio quality, all are speakerphones and can accept a headset as an extra. They use the SIP protocol which makes them ideal for use within an office environment with a softPBX. Using the SIP protocol makes them more difficult to configure for remote office situations unless there is an additional softPBX in the remote office. The phones have multiple function keys which can be programmed as multiple line appearances or for fetching voicemail etc. Most support power over ethernet (PoE) as shown below.
